The Friends of the Walworth-Seely Public Library invite you to join them in their efforts to make the library the best it can be! Meetings are usually held at 6:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month in the Library Program Room. We welcome everyone to stop in and see what we’re about. Perhaps you have a talent you can share with us or spare a few hours to help with a project occasionally. If you can’t attend meetings, join anyway! You can help just by paying the minimal dues, which help provide extras for your library.

What Do Friends Do?

Recently we funded the purchase of gaming materials for the teen program at the library. We fulfilled a need for a hard drive for records storage. Our book and bake sales were a huge success. The children enjoy snacks during their programs, courtesy of Friends.

Friends participate in the Festival in the Park. Watch for our float and look for our booth at Ginegaw Park during this annual celebration of life in Walworth.

The Friends have sold thousands of books over the years at their two yearly book sales, held each spring and fall. Check out the on-going book sale at the library. Selections are changed frequently, so check back often.

Help encourage interest in the Walworth-Seely Public Library and support its services and programs for the community!

Many hands make light work. If you would like to join us in our work, please click here for our brochure and fill out the membership application. Or if you would like more information, send us an e-mail. Remember than even if you can't attend meetings or participate in events, your minimal dues will be helping the library. We're looking forward to hearing from you and to calling you a Friend.
